The management of the University of Lagos has set up a probe panel over the allegation of sexual abuse involving a lecturer in the university.
This action, announced Friday, came a week after a female student of department of English, whose name is unknown, shared her story, and nude photographs of the lecturer, Olusegun Awonusi, a professor of English Studies at UNILAG and former Vice-Chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED), Ijagun, Ogun State, with popular blogger, Linda Ikeji.
Mr Awonusi is also a former Commissioner of Education in Ogun State.
The students said molestation is a way for Mr Awonusi and that she was reaching out to the public to stop the Professor’s victimisation as many students had allegedly been his victims.
