On the 9th of May, the Omaplex Law Firm launched its second edition of the Omaplex virtual internship program application portal for lawyers and law students in Nigeria.
The application which started on the 9th of May 2020 will close on the 19th May 2020.
According to the statement released by the law firm, the internship is initiated to equip Nigerian students and lawyers with valuable work experience and skills required in the practical aspect of law.
The statement reads: “The Omaplex Virtual Internship Programme (OVIP) is structured to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and actual law Practice, by exposing interns to valuable work experience and skills required for the ever-evolving workplace.”
On Twitter, the Managing Partner of the law firm, Oyetola Muyiwa Atoyebi (SAN), stated reasons for the initiative, saying: “The more you learn, the more exposed you become. Gaining knowledge sets you apart in whatever you do. We understand that the best way to learn is by doing and that is why we have put together the Omaplex Virtual Internship Program.”
