The Accountant-General of the Federation has informed universities that salaries of their staff who have not enrolled on Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) will be stopped.
This was disclosed in a circular released through the office of the accountant-general of the federation dated 9th October 2020 directed to all Vice-Chancellors through the Committee of Vice-Chancellors of Nigerian Federal Universities.
According to the circular, any staff of a university whose data is not yet captured by the IPPIS will stop receiving salary by November.
The statement reads: “I am directed to inform you that any staff of your institution who has not enrolled on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System(IPPIS), either as a result of Study Leave(with pay), Maternity Leave or Medical ground, will no longer appear on the IPPIS take effect from November 2020 payroll except such staff presents himself/herself for the biometric data capture at the Office of The Accountant-General of The Federation Office(OAGF), Abuja with a letter/IPPIS enrollment form duly endorsed by the principal authorities of the institution.
“In addition, all supporting documents should include evidence of six months salary bank statement,” the statement added.
