The Inspector-General of Police, Muhammed Adamu, has ordered the immediate replacement of the Rivers State Commissioner of Police, CP Dandaura Mustapha.
The order was contained in a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba on Friday evening.
According to the statement, Joseph Gobum Mukan takes over as CP Rivers Command from Dandaura Mustapha, who has been redeployed to the Force Headquarters, Abuja, as CP Provost.
The order also deployed Musa Adze as CP Anti-Fraud Unit.
“The IGP charges the affected Commissioners of Police to diligently and professionally discharge their duties in their new areas of responsibilities,’’ the statement read.
The statement said the posting and redeployment of the officers are “with immediate effect.”
